Hello

I’m Rachel Cook - a food-obsessed, cookie-baking, full-time working mom and graduate student in the Mass Communication program at the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications. I honed my hunger for great restaurants, and cocktails, living across the U.S. and particularly in Charleston, South Carolina. While I relished trying the newest acclaimed spots in the Lowcountry, I’ve loved the intimacy and transformation of Gainesville’s dining scene since I moved to the Swamp in 2019. My perspective may be a bit biased thanks to wonderful friends and acquaintances who have pioneered some of the best local spots to eat and drink.

Sup Gainesville’s mission is to connect all who love food in Gainesville to chat, eat, and meet to share the stories of our community and elevate our dining scene. Gainesville has so much exciting food and talent, but sparse chatter about where to eat and what’s new to our scene. Share your stories, ideas, and events with me here and extend the invitation to others. There’s room for everyone at the table.

Cheers,

Rachel
